Board Election and Voting Process
Did you know that we are an organization of over 750 members primarily run by a handful of volunteers and has been for nearly 30 years? The association’s continual growth in membership is evidence of the value BCTA/NA provides, and congruent with that is our need for more members to facilitate and manage the expanded functions. Volunteers are the lifeblood of the association but we need the support of more members to sustain it. Click here to step forward and meet the moment. Currently we have several openings on the Board and in Committees, and we are operating at a disadvantage without the full complement to staff the open positions. If just 10 percent of our 750 members come onboard to volunteer, much could be accomplished. The Board is an operational Board with responsibilities in addition to governance. Board members will be asked to lead or contribute to a committee. We encourage any member interested in offering their time and skills to contact us to learn more about volunteering. If enough candidates for Board membership emerge, there will most certainly be an election.
